Storytelling/Performing

An Ancient Art in the Modern World

My greatest passion is storytelling: sharing stories that I have either found, or that somehow found me. On stage, before audiences young and old, sometimes performing live alongside musicians, puppeteers and other artists, and sometimes more simply, on my own, with nothing but my body, my voice and my two hands.

For the past decade, in every theatre, cultural venue, school, bookshop, café, outdoor stage, festival or any other space where I have told stories, I have searched for the way in which each story can be told anew, from the very beginning. As though it were being written all over again at that very moment.

Because storytelling is an art of the here and now: a journey that asks both storyteller and listener to prove that, between them, life itself is flowing.

My Raw Materials

Storytelling begins with the need to share the way you see the world. My own journey has taught me something very important: for a story to acquire the power it deserves, you must first immerse yourself in its own way of interpreting the universe.

Every story, just like every person or organisation, is unique. This is how I bring together my knowledge and creativity: by giving myself completely to the story that is waiting to be told.
